Job Summary:
As a CNC Machinist at Pentaxia, you will play a crucial role in our production process and be a key member of our machine shop team, actively involved in creating, developing, and proving out CNC programs. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery, including 3 CMS machines (one with MSP probing capability), 2 HAAS 3-axis, and 1 HAAS 5-axis UMC100SS (metallics).

We take pride in our production organisation, with a focus on performance development, efficiency, and creating a foundation for growth. We believe in internal staff progression and offer role succession planning to support our team's career advancement.

This is a full-time position, hourly paid with competitive pay and available overtime.

What we are looking for and your key responsibilities:

  • Ability to operate and set CNC machines.
  • Ability to prove out programmes at the machine.
  • Ability to work at fast pace.
  • Experience with working Fanuc and milling.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High self-motivation, determination to succeed and demonstrate a superior work ethic.
  • An ability to work effectively as a team across all departments.
  • The ability to undertake structured work with consistent attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings

Working Hours:

Permanent Days:

  • Monday to Thursday 7:30 – 16:00, Friday 7:30-12:30 (37 hours) - up to £14.48 P/H

Split Shifts:

  • Mornings: Monday to Thursday 06:30-15:00, Friday 6:30-11:30
  • Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 15:00-23:30, Friday 11:30-16:30

2 weeks on – 2 weeks off (37 hours) - up to £17.42 P/H (inclusive of shift premium)

We're looking for CNC Machinists who possess a drive to get things done efficiently and accurately, a positive attitude, and excellent team player skills.

If you have proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator and a first-class understanding of CNC machine operation in a manufacturing environment, along with the ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings, we want to hear from you!
