Technical Partner Programme Manager

    Working within the cross-functional Programme Management Office (PMO), this position reports to the Head of Programme Management or their designee and is located in Maranello, Italy. Responsible for liaising with the PMO entities of our technical partners, this role needs to collaborate and coordinate cross-functionally. This person needs to be organized, have strong background in mechanical engineering, have excellent communication skills and be a team player.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
    • Work with the Head of programme management to ensure contributions from our technical partners are correctly capture in the plans.
    • Work with technical and operational departments across the team to define supply quantities in line with servicing and lifing requirements.
    • Accountable for chairing meetings regarding the perimeter of supply definition with our technical partners.
    • Responsible for supporting the Parts & Stores Team leader and RTS manager with enquiries regarding part supply from our technical partners.
    • Communicate component delivery requirements from the Haas plans back to our technical partners and govern this to ensure dates are adhered to.
    • Support the planning activities of Haas as required throughout the season.
    • Responsible for providing daily updates to the Programme Management Group on plan changes.
    • Responsible for informing any misalignments to the approved plans.
    • Support the Digital Build Engineer and Lifing Engineer with queries regarding component supply or lifing from our technical partners.
    • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Head of Programme Management.

     

    Education and Work Experience:

    • GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Further education including University Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering desired.
    • Preferably 6 years of experience in motor racing as an engineer.
    • Prior experience in Formula One is advantageous.

     

    Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong technical background in car/ mechanical design / operation / build / preparation.
    • Needs to be proactive, flexible, organized and able to prioritize own workload.
    • Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
    • Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
    • Work well in a team environment with personnel at all levels.
    • A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
    • A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

     

    Equipment and Applications:

    • Solid computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Office products, PLM systems (3DExperience), ERP systems (Dynamics 365) and Lifing (Lifecheck).
    • Ability to prepare and present effective presentations of complex subjects to a diverse audience.
    • Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials.
