Job Title: Quality Engineer Industrial Placement Reports To: Quality Manager Department: Quality About the Department: Quality Engineering plays a critical role in completing root cause analysis investigations, that ensure performance and safety critical items are restored. Our team of skilled engineers work around the race calendar, ensuring containments and preventative actions are robustly delivered. Role Overview: As a Quality Engineer Industrial Placement post-holder, you will be at the heart of our Quality team, where you’ll play a critical role in driving the quality culture in the business, supporting the business to meet customer requirements. This role offers a rare opportunity to be involved in the world of Formula 1 from an early stage in your career. The chance to work alongside some of the most talented engineers in the industry, and to contribute to the development of a car that will compete on the world stage, is incredibly exciting. It's a role that promises both professional growth and the thrill of being part of a high-performance team. Your Responsibilities: As a Quality Engineer Industrial Placement post-holder at Williams, you will: Track current status' of open investigations, ensuring validation and closure is met Attend team meetings to discuss investigation status' Collaborate with various departments for seamless action implementations Perform daily tasks such as data analysis and process updates Perform full root cause analysis investigations into technical problems Regularly communicate with engineers and project managers to meet technical requirements Preferred Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have: Experience in CAD software, Basic understanding of engineering principles, Familiarity with data analysis tools. Strong problem-solving ability. Effective communication skills Attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong background in mechanical or automotive engineering through internship or personal projects. Motorsport experience through internships or personal projects (highly desirable) Proactive problem-solving skills Excellent communication abilities
