About the Role: 

This role is focused on Non-F1 project delivery & support, interfacing primarily between Design Engineers, Manufacturing and Build areas. As the Project Planner, you will plan and manage component availability in line with quality, cost and delivery targets.  

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with external customers and suppliers, as well as MGP engineers, operational staff and senior managers to deliver successful outcomes to challenging projects. 

Key Responsibilities (Duties:)

  • Managing project plans and the customer order book to ensure on-time, in-full delivery of products.

  • You will be responsible for overseeing project budgets and driving cost reduction initiatives.  

  • Effective liaison with customers and internal teams such as Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Inspection, and Build areas. Collaboration with Finance, Commercial, and other business areas is also required. 

  • Demand, inventory, and materials planning, as well as expediting requests.  

  • You will support sourcing of tooling and bought-in components, including making buy-vs-make decisions.  

  • Regular project reporting to customers, stakeholders, and senior management is a key part of the role, along with leading customer meetings. 

  • The role includes sales quotation and order support, cost analysis, and invoice processing. 

Candidate Profile:  

Essential:

  • Ideally engineering educated with project management experience.  

  • Experience of planning or scheduling in a fast-paced, demanding, prototype environment (ideally motorsport) is highly desirable. 

  • Comprehensive and provable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other programmes (incl. word, PowerPoint, Projects) to advanced level. 

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP system is desirable. 

  • Effective communication at all levels. 

  • Ability to remain focused and objective when faced with adversity. 

  • Ability to create a positive profile for themselves and the team, acting as point-of-contact for high-profile customers. 

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills. 

  • Must possess a process mind-set with a capability for logically solving complex problems. 

  • Resilient and professional with a belief in the concept of continuous improvement. 

  • Energetic with a strong work ethic and customer focus.
