Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. 

Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Machine Shop Manager to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will lead the work within the machine shop to produce and deliver high precision components for use in motorsport applications. Principal Accountabilities:

  • Management and responsibility of the Machine Shop Team including setting objectives and targets.
  • Ensure machine shop work is carried out to high standards and on schedule.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce parts with accuracy and precision.
  • Review and optimize machine shop processes, including tooling selection and utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements within the machine shop.
  • Work with design engineers to review and improve component manufacturability.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Occasional travel may be required as part of this role.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Machine Shop Manager or similar role in a high-level motorsport or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software, preferably hyperMILL, NX or CATIA.
  • Experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
  • Excellent understanding of machining practices, including tool selection and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
