Front-End Developer, Digital Product & Edge

Role Overview 

Fisker is searching for a Front-End Developer, Digital Product & Edge Computing,  to contribute to deliverables of the Digital Product & Edge Computing team. You will operate across the software lifecycle, from planning and architecture to development, testing and deployment. You will be responsible for developing/maintaining industry-leading consumer web applications that will enhance marketing initiatives, reservation/purchase/lease processes, and account/vehicle management. 

Responsibilities 

  • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code 
  • Developing, testing, and debugging new software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity 
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use 
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers 
  • Collaborate effectively and closely with UX Designers, other Front End and Back End Developers, Product Managers, and QA team to refine and improve the user experience 

What we are looking for 

  • Strong experience in React (Next.js) 
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the JavaScript object model 
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and DOM manipulation 
  • Understanding of the W3C guidelines including ARIA and accessibility 
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript (ES6+) 
  • Expert understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL 
  • Experience with common development tools such as Babel, Webpack, and yarn 
  • Experience with testing frameworks 
  • Ability to perform benchmarking and optimization 
  • Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
