Composite Technician - CNC Programmer (1x weekend shift & 1x day shift)

Alpine F1 Team are seeking Composite Technician -CNC Programmer (Weekend shift & Day Shift) to join our team in Enstone.

The Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Produce good parts/programs to specification and in accordance with departments standards.
  • Check selection of tools is correct, in accordance with best practices and material specs.
  • Where non-conformance is found ensure it is recorded, clearly communicated concisely as per departments procedures.
  • Resolution of any local queries.
  • Solve scheduling and quality problems.
  • Assist with implementation and development of supporting software and continual development thereof to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Working with team leaders to provide crucial input on design for manufacturing.
  • Working as part of team with a common goal.
  • Meet deadlines set by event calendars and department requirements using company systems including, though not limited to, “Work To Lists” and D365.
  • Process workload and release to next operation as soon as possible.

 

The Person:

  • Strong engineering background with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models, manufacture parts in accordance with equipment available, GD&T and technical specifications that enable appropriate manufacture of parts.
  • Proficient in using current department technology.
  • PC literate with good knowledge of MS Office products, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience on Hypermill cam package.
  • A good understanding of composite machining is essential.
  • MSP software knowledge desirable but not essential Ability to create a positive profile for yourself and the department.
  • Flexible approach to work, able to meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • High performer with the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail.
  • Team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Adherence to good housekeeping and health & safety policies.
