About the Role:

A vacancy has arisen for Build System Assembly Technician reporting to the Gearbox Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately building and servicing Gearbox Assemblies within the Gearbox and Dyno Departments.

 

Key Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Assembling gearbox sub-assemblies and production work ensuring that all procedures and quality checks are followed.

  • Complete build and set-up of gearbox assemblies ensuring all the correct quality documentation is used.

  • Servicing gearbox assemblies as required.

  • Hydraulic system fitment as required.

  • Assisting in loading and fitting gearbox assemblies to dyno.

  • Constructive reporting of issues or failures using the Team’s framework.

  • Ensure quality of build by using all the sign off tools provided as per gearbox build procedures.

  • Using SAP to create picks and build sheets to ensure assembled components have enough mileage to complete planned events.

  • Maintaining accurate event reports.

  • Ensuring builds are to latest specification.

  • Maintaining good housekeeping at all times.

  • Carrying out similar skilled duties as and when required.

  • Occasional travel to Events as required by the Team.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in F1 required.

  • Good knowledge of quality systems.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • SAP experience.

  • Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required.

  • The ability to work in a team, under high pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.
