Accounts Payable Lead

Alpine F1 Team is looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Lead to join our Finance Team.

The Role

At Alpine Racing Limited we rely on meticulous financial systems to drive our business forward. We are searching for an experienced skilled individual to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

 

The AP Lead will have an ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track and on good terms with our valued partners.

 

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Process purchase ledger invoices matching to purchase orders, ensuring that all payments and statement reconciliations are completed with the utmost accuracy and attention to detail, maintaining the integrity of financial data across entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date financial records to support the smooth operation of the accounts payable function.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies that arise, applying problem-solving skills to ensure that all financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers, fostering positive relationships and ensuring effective communication to support the financial operations of the company.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with the purchasing team to ensure efficient supplier management.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of payable reports, supporting the Finance Team in delivering accurate and insightful information.
  • Process staff expenses and mileage claims, ensuring that all submissions are handled promptly and accurately in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide support to the Finance Team as needed, undertaking various ad hoc duties to contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the department.

 

The Person

This position forms part of a busy Accounts Department and your duties interconnect with others in the accounting team. To be successful in this role you will have

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and confidential/sensitive data
  • Proficiency in standard office software, especially Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of UK and International VAT Rules
  • AAT qualification is desirable but not essential
