What to Expect
We are recruiting for a Buy Off Inspector to join our fantastic Quality Operations team in Woking. As the Buy Off Inspector, you will be stationed throughout the Customer Acceptance Line (CAL) in our Production Centre (MPC) to ensure that reworks are completed to the correct quality levels and that all finished vehicles are correctly quality bought off prior to FOK.

Software Verification and Validation at McLaren Automotive plays a crucial role in the development of our high-performance vehicles. Software Testing is conducted in close collaboration with system engineers, in-house controls software developers, and vehicle development engineers, using hybrid Waterfall/Agile methodologies.

To work as part of the McLaren Automotive Development Team currently based at the McLaren Technology Centre. This hands-on role encompasses the definition and execution of tests using the departments factory-based test rigs.

The key elements of the role are to ensure that the development vehicle activities are supported from an engineering perspective, through harness manufacture, data acquisition, fault diagnoses and platform software updates to allow a smooth transition into a successful running platform. This will involve the assembly and testing of prototype components, along with identification and reporting of electrical/electronic faults and working with engineers to resolve problems.
