THE ROLE

​We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Hydraulics Supervisor to join our team, and to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our busy Hydraulics Department. The Hydraulics Supervisor will ensure production standards are met and maintained on a variety of high-performance projects, whilst managing a small team within the department. The role would require relocation to Cumbria.  ​

​​​The role responsibilities include:

  • Building and set-up of hydraulic components including brake callipers, dampers, power steering systems, and hydraulic pumps.

  • Managing the workload for each employee. 

  • Planning personnel for event support roles.

  • Servicing and rebuilding all hydraulic components.

  • Planning and organising the manufacture, service and repair of hydraulic components.

  • Liaising with the Engineering Department to operate the in-house dyno facilities and ensure all competition cars are built to the required specification.

  • Ensuring production quality and maintaining a high standard of workmanship within the department.

  • Training and mentoring both current and new employees, ensuring they are hitting performance targets and developing.

 

​WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

​We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

​You should be educated to technician level and have a thorough understanding of motor vehicles and their systems.

​You should pride yourself on your attention to detail and be capable of delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.

​You should have strong communication, and a keen eye for problem solving and implementing solutions with an analytical approach.

​You should be capable of prioritising busy workloads in a time-sensitive environment.

​You should have experience in a similar mechanical/automotive background. Experience within motorsport is desirable but not essential.

​You should have strong computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
