The candidate will be responsible for pit practice set up which includes wheel and tire cleaning and prep, lug nut gluing, impact gun nitrogen, hose and regulator set up, cleaning and pit surface maintenance. The candidate should be able to install and repair mechanical systems or components of the race car, such as brakes, suspension, driveline, steering, cooling system and exhaust system.

Position Summary
Utilizes fabrication skills to work on components and equipment. Tools typically utilized are sheers, saws, punches, bead roller, belt sander, torches, templates, drills and brakes. Responsible for learning various areas of the car components and improving fabrication skills.

Ability to perform welding processes such as MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW).
Ability to weld components in flat, overhead, or vertical positions.

In this role, you will play a vital role within our contract manufacturing group assisting with the development and implementation of innovative design solutions. The engine tuner is responsible for the overall general maintenance of engines at the race track. Some of their responsibilities include inspecting and changing valve springs, inspecting and maintaining carburetors and/or throttle bodies, and the maintenance and stocking of engine components on the transporter. The tuner travels with the race team to all test and race events. While with the race team, the tuner is supporting all competitive activities related to the engine, including preparation for practice, qualifying and race.
