The Role
Working in the NASCAR vehicle dynamics group, the candidate will develop simulation software used by the race teams and the Engineering Department as well as work on vehicle performance.
Responsibilities:
Simulation model development.
Model correlation with test data.
Identifying and exploiting areas of vehicle performance / development.
Assist the vehicle dynamics group with the development of an OEM DIL Simulator.

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Mid-Senior Level Design Engineer to join our dynamic design and development engineering team. In this role, you will play a vital role within our contract manufacturing group assisting with the development and implementation of innovative design solutions. You will work closely with senior engineers, junior engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to contribute to the creation of advanced products and systems.

The engine tuner is responsible for the overall general maintenance of engines at the race track. Some of their responsibilities include inspecting and changing valve springs, inspecting and maintaining carburetors and/or throttle bodies, and the maintenance and stocking of engine components on the transporter. The tuner travels with the race team to all test and race events. While with the race team, the tuner is supporting all competitive activities related to the engine, including preparation for practice, qualifying and race.

Interface with NHRA related to Ford's participation in all NHRA pro/sportsman classes. Engage series on rules, vision, and strategy to insure they are aligned with Ford’s strategy. Support Ford NHRA teams as it relates to NHRA rule changes and car/body development and potential technical projects for performance development.
