An opportunity has arisen for a Cost Cap Analyst to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
A key role to ensure the financial integrity and compliance of the Formula E team with cost cap regulations, whilst balancing this effectively with the goals and objectives of motorsport racing.
What you will do
- Work closely with the Senior Finance Analyst and the Formula E team to ensure compliance with the cost cap regulations set forth by the FIA.
- Stay abreast of the latest cost cap regulations and guidance, ensuring that all financial practices align with the governing body’s requirements.
- Analyse team expenditure, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Prepare and maintain analytical reports on the current and projected cost cap position each season.
- Support the budget and forecasting process for the Formula E projects, identifying ways to best track against cost cap requirements, identify issues and resolve them quickly.
- Support the Formula E reporting process to ensure that financial actuals are up to date and accurate.
- Support the FIA’s cost cap audit process.
About you
- Proven experience in financial analysis, challenging norms and driving new ideas
- Proficient with ERP systems and Excel interrogating data and unravelling transaction trails to problem solve
- Be able to work accurately with exceptional attention to detail
- Be able to use Microsoft Office software and strong computer skills
- Microsoft D365 experience would be highly preferable.
- Experience in the motorsport industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
